It has been just over three months now that I’ve started back on Body Beautiful Canada’s products (Universal Contour Wrap and the Eurowave), and I’m loving the results! While in Santa Monica for the Annual Red Cross’ Red Tie Affair, I had the opportunity to have a wrap done at Gentle Wellness Center on Broadway and have lunch with Body Beautiful Canada’s Director Helen Hodgson while she was in town! With another 10 inches off, my total inch loss to date is close to 70 inches. I fit perfectly into my Ema Savahl Couture dress!

I figure that by continuing to use the Body Beautiful products, over the next month or so, I will be back to my usual pre-baby self! I will keep you updated!

So where were the normal people….? Everywhere, when I looked around, busily juggling priorities and schedules, the same as everywhere else in the world, just with the added benefits of palm trees and sunshine…I met some absolutely fabulous people, the Head of The Red Cross, our dedicated school, the Gentle Wellness Centre and finally got to catch up with Shannon (Miss Canada) and her gorgeous little boy….

This Saturday, April 21, 2012 the American Red Cross’s exclusive Red Tie Affair fundraiser gala will be at the Fairmont Miramar Hotel in Santa Monica. The gala will honor the humanitarian spirit of those extraordinary individuals who have shown courage, compassion, and unselfish character. The honorees for the 2012 Red Tie Affair include Jamie Lee Curtis, Denis Leary, J.R. Martinez and Dr. Timothy Miller of UCLA/Operation Mend. The guest list would include famous and influential leaders and entertainers like Michael Bay, Jerry Bruckheimer and Bobby Shriver.

Miss Canada 2009 Shannon Lynn and the owner of Body Beautiful Canada Ltd. Helen Hodgson will be attending as well to give their full support to the cause and to promote Body Beautiful’s main products; the body sculpting Eurowave Pro, and the detoxifying Universal Contour Wrap. I was going to wait a few more weeks to do an update, but after my last wrap yesterday at Zealous MediSpa in Winnipeg, MB, I just can’t wait to give an update of my progress so far!  I had a great time with the staff at Zealous MediSpa and Kathleen of Body Beautiful Canada, and enjoyed a Universal Contour Wrap(my third wrap), and two Eurowave sessions.  During the Eurowave sessions I lost a total of 6.5 inches, and during the UCW I lost a total of 11 inches (17.5 inches just yesterday!).  This brings my total loss since February 8th (seven weeks) to 55 inches (total body)!  I have less than four weeks to go, and this definitely puts me on track to “getting my body back” before my goal date.  Right after my wrap, we were able to see a difference in the appearance of my body, I am so pleased!  I cant wait to share photos after reaching my goal!

My granddad died in the UK, my grandma was rushed into hospital, and all of a sudden the 8,000 miles we are away seemed like a million.  So a mad scramble ensues, organizing flights (of course we are out of season and there are no direct flights to the north of England so add on another 4 hours to stop and change in Calgary) organizing the business and of course the kids so my daughter and I could make it back in time for the funeral.

So I sit writing this in a British pub sat in the garden as the only positive is glorious sunshine, not grey skies and rain drenched Vancouver, and the realization totally hits that I am a epitome of a comfort eater.

I pack and arrived firmly clutching my Ideal Protein, then after seeing my grandma, being told I am speaking at the funeral, and taking my granddads stuff from the hospital. I fall completely of the diet and into a world of good British comfort food. Nothing takes emptiness and sadness away Ive discovered as much as fish and chips and a Cadburys chocolate bar. So I’m now ready to come home and get re-started because what can I say this week diet wise Ive being a miserable failure, but heart wise I’m completely glad we came back.  Grandma has visibly bounced back though deeply grieving, and we gave granddad a “wonderful send off” as we say in Yorkshire, its back home on Sunday and hopefully life will be a little kinder and let me focus back on releasing the pounds.

So for every person who has had a life knock them from the dieting zone I feeling your pain, but its all about picking yourself up, brushing yourself off, and getting back at it because the only difference between people who succeed and people who don’t is how they react when knocked over and this is just the start of the journey and I have no intention of letting a little bump deter me….

On July 22, 2011 I had my first child, a healthy baby boy.  As we know, all pregnancies are different and with mine I ended up gaining close to 75 lbs.  In the industry that I work in, it’s the normal thing to get back to your “pre-baby body” as soon as possible.  Being a very busy new mommy, and without all of the fancy personal trainers, nutritionists, and nannies that most of my friends have in Los Angeles, I found that it was a little harder than most people lead on.  With a healthy diet, yoga and a bit of cardio (walks in the park with my sis, her 3 month old and my 8 month old), I’ve been able to lose over half of the weight that I had gained during my pregnancy as well as retain a healthy lifestyle.

I’ve used the Eurowavesand the Universal Contour Wrap products from Body Beautiful Canada while training for pageants and also before Red Carpets over the past four years and thought that the products would be the perfect solution to get my body back to where it needs to be… by my next Red Carpet appearance…. April 21st!  The last time that I had used the “3-wrap/20-eurowave” program I had lost over 30 inches in 30 days!  On February 8th, I traveled to Saskatoon, SK to meet up with Wendy Johnson of New Wave Body Contouring in Saskatoon (the lady that had first introduced me to the Body Beautiful Canada products back in 2008). Followed by CTV Morning Live (video coming soon), Wendy gave me a Universal Contour Wrap and a Eurowave Session on my tummy and hips/thighs.  (As you can not have a Eurowave until 6 months after a cesarean section, this was the first time that I was able to start using the Body Beautiful Canada products, so I was very excited!)

With my first Wrap, I lost 13.1 inches! This was the start of a 8 week “yummy mummy” campaign to get my pre-baby body back by the time I hit the Red Carpet!  I hope that by sharing my program and journey, that I can inspire other “yummy mummys” and let them know what is possible after childbirth and that you can get your body back and be your sexy self again!  Weather it’s been 6 months or 30 years…. I’m positive that the UCW and Eurowave can work for you, because I can see first hand how they are transforming my body back to what it was!  (And for those who resort to drastic plastic surgery, this is a great alternative).  I can’t wait to share my before and after photos and show you the amazing wonders of these products!

I just had my second wrap this past Saturday in Winnipeg, MB and lost 9.5 inches.  My next one will be this Saturday and I will update everyone with the results!
